Our most economical way of mounting an MPR E-Scan™ sensing head is with a Weld-In Adapter. Available for both regular and extended probe lengths and with or without steam cleaning tube, these can be easily welded directly on your pipeline or vessel. A maintenance plug is required to dissipate heat and ensure that the adapter does not distort while welding. The same maintenance plug can be used if operation is desired without the sensing head installed
The suggested orientation of the sensing head is on a horizontal plane for a horizontal segment of pipe. A vertical segment of pipe is also acceptable if the flow is in the upward direction. Please contact us for suggested installation depths for your specific process.
